Overview

The Foundation Year is a pre-degree access programme that will provide you with a solid basis for future undergraduate study at the University of Bradford. This course is designed for students who do not have the necessary academic and/or English language qualifications for registration directly onto a degree course.

The Foundation Year offers an introductory grounding in your chosen discipline and equips you with the study and interpersonal skills necessary for effective undergraduate study.

Successful completion of this programme will enable you to progress to a range of degree programmes in management, social science, nursing, health and allied professions, life sciences, computer science, media, and law.

Pass - Overall grading Pass (D or E in the Core) with no subject specific requirements.

Plus minimum of

GCSE English grade C/grade 4 (equivalents accepted).

Additional entry requirements

If you don't have any Level 3 qualifications, we advise you to study an Access to Higher Education Diploma at a local college and then apply for degree-level entry at the University.

English language requirements

Minimum IELTS at 6.0 or the equivalent.

Learning and assessment

You will learn via lectures, seminars, group tutorials, practical and simulation classes, and teamwork.

A range of assessments will be used, including essays, examinations, and presentations.
