City Partnerships

The University of Bradford sits at the heart of the City of Bradford. Our vision is to share knowledge to strengthen health, wealth and confidence across the communities in Bradford. We work with partners who share our vision and want to make a difference in the City.

How we work with our partners 

We work with our partners to:   

  • Deliver events and activities;   
  • Provide opportunities that improve the student experience;
  • Collaborate on projects that will bring change to the City;
  • Engage with our staff, students and other stakeholders.

Hannah Ward, Senior Corporate Engagement Officer

Hannah manages the Events and Partnerships team who develop and deliver the University's core, corporate and public engagement events and a range of partnerships. These events and partnerships enhance the University’s connectivity internally and externally, raising the profile of the University of Bradford, locally, nationally and internationally. The team also work to engage with partners and organisations from across the city and region to ensure the University is civically engaged.

Laura is the Senior Corporate Engagement Officer in the Engagement and Partnerships Team. Her role includes managing events that enhance the reputation of the University, managing corporate partnerships that create opportunities for external organisations and the University to work together and managing relationships between the University's high profile stakeholders and Honorary Graduates.

Ana Jara Gonzalez, Engagement Officer

Ana’s role as an Engagement Officer is to play a pivotal role in public engagement through a programme of events. Ana designs, develops and delivers the University Public Lectures and the Annual High Profile Lectures Series.

She supports the University’s civic engagement, ensuring the University contributes to city initiatives where appropriate.

Events and Partnerships Assistant

Nighat Akhtar

Nighat is the Events and Partnership Assistant within the team. Her role includes providing clerical support to the team in general and operational support for event management and city partnership development. She is also responsible for co-ordinating and preparing event information and providing support for financial administration and the events registration and governance systems.
