Annual Alumni Update 2023

It has been a busy past twelve months for the University and our alumni and development activities that culminate with this annual update which shares some reflections on our achievements over the last year and looks ahead to some of the key things to look out for in 2023.

The Alumni Team have compiled a series of videos for you which include a conversation with our Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shirley Congdon, on her plans for the University in 2023. We also bring you an update from our Pro Vice-Chancellor of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Professor Udy Archibong, on the University's commitment to EDI and the work taking place in this area. We are also delighted to share some updates and a video featuring our new Chancellor Anita Rani, as she visited the University's campus for the first time since her appointment.

A conversation with our Vice-Chancellor Professor Shirley Congdon

Our Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shirley Congdon sits down for a chat with Bradford graduate and Alumni Ambassador Faiz Ilyas, to share her reflections on recent developments and to discuss her priorities for the University in 2023. 

Chancellor Anita Rani visits the University

Tv presenter and radio personality Anita Rani, who has been announced as the new Chancellor of the University of Bradford, has made her first trip onto campus to meet with staff and students during a day-long visit. Known for presenting programmes such as Countryfile and Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, the Bradford-born broadcaster took time out from her busy schedule to meet with students and staff during the day-long visit.

Making a Difference - Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at Bradford

Professor Udy Archibong, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and Director of the Centre for Inclusion and Diversity at the University talks about some of the University's work and achievements over the previous year in support of our commitment to EDI. This includes receiving the Race Equality Charter award and how the University is leading in England for its impact on improving students' social mobility. Udy also shares an update on the University's on-going work and upcoming plans for 2023.
